Terms and Conditions

Paws Intuition – Terms and Conditions of Service

Last updated: January 2026

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Paws Intuition ("we", "us", "our") provides services to you ("the Client"). Please read them carefully. By booking, purchasing, or using any service provided by Paws Intuition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Dogs are sentient beings whose emotions and behaviours may change over time due to factors including age, health, environment, learning history, and relationships. No guarantees can be given in relation to training or behaviour outcomes.

1. Definitions

Agreement: The contract formed between Paws Intuition and the Client, comprising any quotation or programme description (verbal or written), these Terms and Conditions, and confirmation of booking.

Services / Work: All services provided by Paws Intuition, including but not limited to consultations, assessments, training sessions, programmes, classes, written reports, handouts, digital materials, administrative work, scheduling, correspondence, and preparation.

Paws Intuition: The trading name of Leanne Carmichael.

Client: The individual or organisation purchasing services from Paws Intuition.

Programme: Any structured package of services offered over a defined period (including consultations and training sessions).

2. Entire Agreement

2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Paws Intuition and supersede any prior discussions, representations, or agreements unless expressly agreed in writing.

2.2 No variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless confirmed in writing by Paws Intuition.

2.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

2.4 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2.5 This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.

3. Nature of Services and No Guarantee

3.1 Behavioural and training services cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including consistency, handling, environment, and the dog’s physical and emotional state.

3.2 Any training plans or programmes are specific to the dog assessed and must not be transferred, shared, or used for any other animal.

3.3 Advice and programmes are based on information provided by the Client and observations at the time of assessment.

4. Programmes and Time Limits

4.1 Fixed-Term Programmes

Where a Client purchases a programme of a defined duration (including but not limited to 2-month, 4-month, or 12-month programmes), all consultations and training sessions included in that programme must be used within the stated programme duration.

4.2 Sessions not used within the programme period will expire automatically at the end of that period and will not be refunded, transferred, or carried forward, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by Paws Intuition.

4.3 Programmes are designed to be delivered within the agreed timeframe to ensure training suitability, welfare, and effectiveness.

5. Monthly Memberships

5.1 Where services are provided under a monthly membership or subscription model, the Client agrees to a minimum initial commitment of three (3) consecutive months.

5.2 Following the initial three-month minimum term, the membership will automatically continue on a monthly rolling basis unless and until cancelled by the Client in accordance with the cancellation terms set out below.

5.3 All sessions included within a monthly membership must be used within the relevant monthly billing period.

5.4 Sessions included in a monthly membership cannot be carried over to subsequent months under any circumstances.

5.5 Any sessions not used within the applicable month will automatically expire at the end of that billing period and are non-refundable.

6. Booking of Sessions

6.1 All sessions included within a programme or membership will be scheduled during the initial consultation or first session, where possible.

6.2 Clients may request to reschedule sessions, provided the minimum notice requirements are met; however, rescheduling is subject to availability, and Paws Intuition does not guarantee that alternative dates will be available.

6.3 Failure to attend or reschedule within the required notice period will result in the session being deemed used.

7. Payment

7.1 Payment in full is required prior to the first consultation, training session, or class unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7.2 Paws Intuition may, at its discretion, offer payment plan options for certain programmes. Where a payment plan is agreed, this forms part of the Agreement and the Client remains liable for the full programme price, regardless of attendance, completion, or early cancellation, subject to statutory rights.

7.3 Payment plans are not a pay-as-you-go arrangement. Missed, unused, or expired sessions do not reduce the total amount payable under an agreed payment plan.

7.4 Failure to make payments in accordance with an agreed payment plan may result in suspension or termination of services until payment is brought up to date.

7.5 All bookings include a non-refundable booking and administration fee of £25. This fee reflects reasonable administrative and business costs incurred upon booking, including but not limited to handling initial enquiries, scheduling, correspondence, preparation, record keeping, post-consultation documentation, and reserving availability within Paws Intuition’s diary.

7.6 The booking and administration fee is payable regardless of attendance and is not refundable in the event of cancellation, non-attendance, or failure to book subsequent sessions, except where required by law.

7.7 All remaining fees paid relate to the delivery of services and may be subject to proportionate refund only where required under statutory consumer rights.

7.8 While outstanding payment is due, Paws Intuition reserves the right to withhold services, materials, or access to sessions.

8. Cancellation by the Client

8.1 Where a booking is made at a distance (including online or by telephone), the Client may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

8.2 This 14-day cooling-off period does not apply once the service has started. A service is deemed to have started when any of the following occur: the initial consultation takes place, a training session is delivered, access to digital materials is provided, or any assessment, planning, or preparatory work specific to the Client and their dog has begun.

8.3 By booking and proceeding with a consultation or training session within the 14-day cooling-off period, the Client expressly requests that the service begins immediately and acknowledges that their right to cancel under the cooling-off regulations is lost once the service has commenced.

8.4 Once a programme or membership has commenced, no refunds will be offered for any remaining sessions, unused time, or unexpired portions of the programme or membership, except where required by statutory consumer law.

8.5 Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude the Client’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, or where we are otherwise legally required to do so, an appropriate remedy (which may include a proportionate refund) will be offered in accordance with the law.

8.6 A service or programme will be deemed cancelled if there is a gap of more than 30 days from the first consultation or most recent session without further sessions being booked. In such cases, unused sessions will expire and no refund will be due.

9. Cancellation by Paws Intuition

9.1 Paws Intuition reserves the right to terminate or suspend services where:

Payment is overdue;

The Client breaches these Terms;

The Client’s conduct is unsafe, unethical, or damaging to Paws Intuition or others;

Continued provision of services is not in the dog’s welfare interests.

10. Liability

10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paws Intuition shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses.

10.2 Handlers remain responsible for their dogs at all times and are advised to maintain appropriate insurance.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 All materials, programmes, and content created by Paws Intuition remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced, shared, or resold without written consent.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Paws Intuition reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will apply to future bookings.

12.2 By booking any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Important Note: These Terms are designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with UK consumer law. They do not limit your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
